To create a project select "Add project" in the "Projects" tab. The new window that opens is the so called project window, which allows you to enter information about the project. The first thing to be done is selecting a date for the project by simply clicking on the days. Whole weeks can be selected by clicking on the week's number. If a project repeats on a certain day this weekday can be chosen as a date as well.
Name: Give your project a name. It will work as the internal reference.
Project number: The number will be computed automatically. The starting number can be adjusted in your administrator panel.
Client: Enter your client here. New clients can be added by clicking on .
Location: Enter the project's location here. New locations can be added by clicking on .
Status: This field is used to manage the status of the project. After a project has been confirmed by your client the status can be adjusted here. With the project filter you can filter your projects according to their status.
Account manager: Choose an account manager for the project.
Type: If applicable select the type of your project here. New types can be added in the
Color: The project will be shown in the selected color on your project overview. If you have selected a project type the color the project will be automatically adjusted according to it.
For every project it is possible to add notes in this tab. By selecting "Add note" a new window opens in which the note can be added. The notes can be made accessible for administrators only or for everyone. Additionally you can select if the notes should be printed on the packing list or not. More information about notes.
Times within a project can differentiate from each other. This is the case if you have transport time and additional time needed for the buildup. These times are connected to a project and are therefore not shown in the calendar or in the dashboard of Rentman.
The adding of times is especially useful when you have a lot of different material and staff functions. If you for example want to change the time of the buildup you only have to change the times within the project, which will automatically adjust the availability of staff and materials. Therefore the process of adjusting time and date for every item or employee is not necessary anymore. If needed the time schedule can be shown on your documents as well.
To add times to your project open the tab "Time schedule" and select "Add time".
You can now enter the needed data and select if the time schedule should be shown on your quotation/contract/packing list or print overview. With the help of this function you can for example add meetings with your client to the quotation or contract. This diminishes the chance of misunderstandings in a project, for example the time of the buildup. Scheduling times in the project can especially be helpful for your staff if they are mentioned on the packing slip. Therefore they always now when they have to be at which place.
